Descriptions:
La Nueva started in 1933 as a cold store known as “Tong Guan” (in Chinese) in Magallanes St. Cebu City. Established by Uy Chun Tong who migrated from Amoy, China Selling imported wines and canned goods
After World War II it opened its door again for business on the same location under the new name “La Nueva” During the 70’s, La Nueva started to evolve by selling grocery items for wholesale and retail and the business grew and was later known as La Nueva Supermart.
The pharmacy business started during October 1989 in Magallanes St. Cebu City, selling OTC medicines. After passing the board exam, Mr. Robinson Uy took over the management of the pharmacy business.
